Description
Cherry hardwood (also known as American cherry, black cherry, or wild cherry) is a beautiful wood with distinct and desirable characteristics.
In color and appearance, the heartwood (closer to tree center) can range from yellowish red to a pinkish brown to a dark reddish-brown depending on the region the tree grows in. Whereas, the sapwood (closer to tree bark) is a pale yellow, sometimes with a greenish tint, it is often very narrow. It can often contain small narrow gum or resin pockets.
