Aluminum (5052-H32)
Aluminum Sheet
Description
This is pre-cut 5052-H32 mill finish aluminum.
What is aluminum?
Aluminum is a silvery white metal, often paired with another element to create an alloy with unique properties.
Each series of aluminum has a four digit name based on the primary alloy. 5052 aluminum is in the 5xxx series, which uses magnesium as the primary alloying element.
This combination yields a strong aluminum sheet with good corrosion resistance, workability, formability, and weldability. 5052 is stronger than most other 5xxx series, 1100 and 3003 alloys.
5052 alloys, with their magnesium content, and near absence of copper, are an excellent choice for exterior, chemical and marine use.
5052 sheets are not heat treatable.
All panels are masked on one side with a PVC film. Remove film before laser cutting or engraving your project. Please note, the material is guaranteed on one side. The unmasked side may have imperfections.
Mill finish material can have a rough texture, spots of oxidation. We recommend polishing or machining the surface for a smooth finish.
