Carbon Steel Cold Roll (A1008)
Carbon Steel Cold Roll Sheet
Description
This is pre-cut carbon steel cold roll with a mill finish.
What is cold roll carbon steel?
The process of cold rolling carbon steel sheets creates a smooth surface which is typically oiled. Cold rolled sheets are produced by annealing and temper rolling hot rolled steel sheets. This process yields a steel sheet with more formability, improved surface texture and flatness. The sheets are oiled to prevent surface rust from forming.
Compared to hot rolled steel, A1008 cold rolled carbon steel offers superior weldability and formability. The cold rolling process also creates good drawing and spinning properties. These characteristics make cold roll carbon steel ideal for use across industries, including automotive, furniture, construction, marine and industrial applications.
Each panel is film masked on one side. Please note, the material may have some minor surface imperfections on the back side as it is not masked. Carbon steel cold roll is slightly oiled.
To prevent quick oxidization and rusting, cold rolled carbon steel should be painted.
